July 5 - 6, 2024
We arrived in Cuiaba in the evening on July 5 and got a transfer to the Hotel Deville. It was a nice hotel and we spent the 6th mostly in the hotel. We often arrive a day early just to give a cushion in case of airline troubles.
On the 6th we were awakened early in the morning by shouts that went on for a time. It turned out there were people marching around with what looked like sports jerseys. It's possible it was a demonstration or parade connected with the World Cup, but I'm not sure.
